Meet Rachel Stilwell

Rachel Stilwell's law practice focuses on entertainment, intellectual property, licensing, and commercial transactions. She advises and negotiates on behalf of businesses and creative professionals on complex intellectual property matters and business transactions. Rachel's intellectual property practice serves businesses and individuals from all industries, with special expertise in entertainment and professional audio. Rachel serves her clients as an expert in domestic and international copyright and trademark matters. Rachel is proud to have been named to Billboard's Top Music Lawyers List for the last eight consecutive years.

In addition to running her own law practice, Rachel serves as Adjunct Professor of Law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where she teaches Music Law. 

Prior to becoming an attorney, Rachel held executive positions with several top record labels, including Verve Music Group, where she ran Verve's multi-format radio promotional department, supervising all radio activities and promotional tours.

Rachel has long served on the Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter's Advocacy Committee, having co-chaired that committee for several years.  She also serves on the national advocacy committee of the Songwriters of North America. 

Rachel’s clients include multiple GRAMMY-winning recording artists, bandleaders, record producers, songwriters, recording engineers and mixers, film and television production companies, film directors, actors, screenwriters, comedians, visual artists, and book authors. She represents a broad array of companies in business transactions, with strong expertise in protection of businesses’ intellectual property assets. Rachel drafts and negotiates executive employment agreements on behalf of business and entertainment clients. She also represents multiple designers and manufacturers of pro audio gear in complex intellectual property matters, both domestically and internationally. Her clients include the musicFIRST Coalition, which is comprised of the Recording Academy, the Latin Recording Academy, R.I.A.A., A2IM, American Federation of Musicians, SAG-AFTRA, SoundExchange, Society of Singers, Christian Music Trade Association, Music Managers Forum, the Vocal Group, and the Rhythm & Blues Foundation. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Future of Music Coalition, a nonprofit music advocacy think tank.

Meet Roy Lenn

Roy is an associate at Stilwell Law. He has worked in public media in Los Angeles for 18 years and advises on Federal Communications Commission (FCC) compliance for underwriting sponsorship. Roy is a proud graduate of The College of William & Mary and Southwestern Law School and licensed to practice law in the State of California. As a member of the California Lawyers Association he participates in the Intellectual Property Law Section.
